Northern Afterglow（US kindle-EN）
In April 2021, the Town of Higashikawa, Kamikawa, Hokkaido published the photo novel “Northern Afterglow.” At the request of the then-Mayor Matsuoka, it was simultaneously produced within the town alongside a short-film version directed by Hiroshi Sugahara. Many individual stories exist within many relationships. Even if they suffer for their entire lives, people can be saved by a single moment of happiness. Wouldn’t it be true that if every person in the world had their moment of happiness, anyone and everyone could be saved? It sadddens me deeply to hear how young people take their own lives in their despair of the world. Having came to the conclusion that I could save the precious lives of these young people, I have decided to republish this e-book in English as well, owing to the assistance of the town of Higashikawa, Cinevoice, and Daiei Real Estate Co., Ltd.. This story is set in both Asahidake in Hokkaido, and in a coffee shop in Tokyo.
